We traveled to Cedar City for a tournament the weekend of July 30 - 31, 2010. We first played in Parowan against the Dixie Stars on Friday afternoon. We won!

Our second game was Friday late afternoon immediately after the first. We played the Parowan Dodgers. We won our second game.

All the parents / grandparents trying to keep cool. It was so hot and we all had to sit on the blacktop. The only grass was in the outfield and the only trees were on the mountains. H O T!

After we won the 2nd game, the boys dumped the water cooler on top of Coach Higginson....and it soaked him in all the right places!

Saturday morning they played the Boulder City Bombers. Cooper pitched the whole game and and we won them in 4 innings. Then they played again on Saturday afternoon. They played the Mavericks from Henderson, Nevada. They were a tougher team. The boys battled hard and we won that game.

After we won that game, we were scheduled to play for the championship at 6:30 that same night. Then it started to rain. And it rained and rained. It finally let up and the sky graced us with this beautiful sunset. We were finally able to play after a 2 hour game delay.

Their "ace" pitcher was only able to pitch for the first 3 innings. Then he met him maximum for pitching for the day. At the bottom of the 3rd inning, the score was 8 to 1 for them. Then when they lost their ace, they were just any other team and we ended up coming back in a big way!

Tanner pitched at first then Riley pitched for the remainder of the game. Riley pitched strike after strike!
We ended up beating the Cedar City Crush! We won the tournament! It was so exciting!
